WE.08 Obtain Required Resources Context The Task assigned to a person may include the following resource specifications;  special tools required,  materials required,

 internal resources required,  external resources required,  services required, and  equipment required.

The individual assigned the Task may find that some of the specified resources are missing, or that a resource necessary for the work was not specified. In either case the person can often use their own initiative to find or obtain the necessary resources. They should do this if it is within their authority to do so, and if in doing so they can still meet all of the outcomes required of the work – including the agreed time for completion of the work. Purpose To obtain additional resources required to complete a work package. Quantity The resources necessary to complete the Task. Quality In obtaining the resources the person assigned the Task must confirm that;  it is within their authority to obtain the resources,  they will meet all of the outcomes required from the work if they undertake to obtain the resources, and  the resources are correctly specified for the work and fit for purpose. Time This task shall be performed as soon as practical after the need for additional resources is recognised. Resources Completion of this task is the accountability of the role nominated on the configured Work Execution flowchart.
